This is a basic look at the SolarGardenDome. The clear, heavy gauge PVC covering is cut and heat sealed to form fit the tubular aluminum framework. Looks really sharp!

The structure utilizes a 2x8 and 2x4 lumber base as its foundation. Each tubular aluminum rafter slips freely into its universal bracket - no tools required. The rafters are joined at the top with one circular "spider" bracket where each rafter slips into its "spider's leg". The 12' dome has 8 aluminum rafters, thus the "spider" has 8 legs. The clear vinyl "skin" covering slips over the framework as is secured at the base of each rafter with a stretchable "bungee cord". The continual tension of the of the bungee aids in pulling the skin tight. The lumber framework can be left on the garden year around, or moved. Each lumber section is modular and identical. The skin and framework can be removed quickly and entirely with no tools. While one person can set up or take down a SolarGardenDome easily, two people are ideal. The vinyl skin should be dried and folded, then stored out of the sun. The aluminum rafters are in two sections on the principle of tent poles, modular and identical with no tools required.
